Design for the Mediterranean: Weaving paths between knowledge, myths, sea and stories
Drawing on Mediterranean imagery, a narrative frame has been constructed that relates to the symbolic value of the sea, the myths and fishermen's stories. The sea is represented by a tapestry made by inserting disused fishing nets into the weave. The myths are embodied in a collection of symbolic and functional objects made with a new material obtained from recycled fishing nets. The stories are the collection of interviews with fishermen, traditional knowledge and ancient wisdom handed down from generation to generation.

Luxury and extravagance in the sacristy. Use and reuse of antique textiles
Precious fabrics and clothes, which once belonged to wealthy aristocratic families, have been transformed over time into liturgical vestments and today belong to the ecclesiastical sphere. The sacristies often guard real treasures of textile art, exceptional evidence of generous and heartfelt devotion. In the Diocese of Massa Carrara-Pontremoli, there is a great variety of textile typologies of undoubted historical and artistic value, a variegated set of works worthy of being valued like any other work of art.

Innovation as a competitive advantage
Innovation is now recognized as the main source of competitive advantage for businesses and has become crucial for the development of all production processes, responding to the growing need for process, product and service innovation. In particular, technological innovation has also become a priority in the textile and design sector. In a comparison between Innovation Carriers, the innovative approach applied throughout the entire production chain, from raw materials, to the finished product, to its commercialization, will be presented. One of the topics: "From waste to resource: how innovation can support the textile industry in the recovery of waste".
